About

Kelp Quest started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of whatever we were grinding on the train. At some point the recommendations got long enough that a proper site made more sense than another pinned message.

We focus on mobile RPGs, adventures, and anything with a story worth following, but we happily wander into strategy, racing, and simulation when something catches our eye. The point is to write like a friend who already sunk ten hours in and can tell you whether it's worth yours.

Games get picked in a simple way: something looks interesting, someone on the team installs it, and we play until we have real opinions. If a title bores us halfway through, that goes in the review too. We don't chase release-day traffic, so we'd rather post a week late with something useful.

Nobody here pretends to be a robot scoring machine. Ratings are opinions from people who play a lot, and we try to explain the reasoning so you can disagree with us fairly.

Markus Feldmann — Markus has been playing handheld and mobile games since the days of monochrome screens and leads the reviews here. He mostly writes about RPG pacing and progression systems.
