Ember of the Hollow

Ember of the Hollow is the kind of RPG I hoped mobile could deliver more often. The writing carries it: characters have actual motivations, and choices in dialogue ripple out in ways you notice hours later. Combat is turn-based with a stamina system that rewards planning over spamming your strongest skill.

Progression is generous without being mindless. You build your party's roles deliberately, and respeccing is cheap enough that you experiment freely. I spent a whole evening rebuilding my healer into a battlefield controller and the game let me do it without punishing the curiosity.

The touch controls are clean, menus are readable, and battery drain is reasonable for a game this pretty. If you want a story you'll actually think about, start here.
